Newell-Hoerling’s Mortuary has served the Lewis County community as a family owned funeral home since 1907. In 2012, the Hoerling family chose the Weeks family to carry on their tradition of service. For more than 50 years and two generations, the Weeks family has answered the call of friends and neighbors when a loved one passes away.
We serve people when it matters most, and we value the trust placed in us each time a family calls. Our teams are available around the clock to help through the difficult initial hours, subsequent days, and months ahead. We care in the middle of the night, and after all the visitors have gone home.
We live and work in the communities we serve. We are here, when and where you need us.
Each family honors their loved one in their own unique way. We take time to listen and help you create meaningful and personalized arrangements for your loved one and your family. We guide and support those we serve as much or as little as they wish, and each step along the way as they pay tribute to their loved one.
Losing a loved one is never easy and in our case, it being so unexpected was that much harder. The staff at Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and wishes. We initially worked with Rebecca and Samantha but during our ceremony we had a gentleman I believe his name was Russ. These three individuals are amazing and displayed nothing less than professionalism and care for our wishes during this hard time. I want to make sure they get the recognition they deserve. Thank you, Rebecca, Samantha and Russ!!!! We couldn't have asked for a better staff. You guys are truly amazing. May God bless you and your families.
