On February 20, 2021, our world stopped when Landon left us. We do not know why, and most likely will never know. One thing we do know is, our family, friends, and community rallied behind us in such an unexpected way, to be honest, it was close to overwhelming. We immediately started receiving flowers and more food than we could get through. Then donations began to pour in and offers of what people could do to help. When it came time to pick a mortuary service, Newell Hoerlings was almost an instant choice, just by the review of their website. We are forever thankful we choose them, because to this day, they have been sensitive and accommodating to every wish and request. Rebecca and Julie constantly assured us that Landon was safe with them when he arrived at their facility, and, when his remains returned, they, once again advised us, “Landon is safely here and is ready for whenever you wish to bring him home.” The day of Landon’s viewing was the way it should have been, freedom to grieve for all who wished to say goodbye. Julie and Gail made sure that all our needs were met that day with the only concern being, our sweet Landon is no longer with us. We will forever be grateful to the constant sensitivity they showed us through the most difficult time in our lives. I am sure Rebecca and Julie makes everyone feel this way, but they made us feel like their number one priority was to help us get through this and no one else mattered but our family. They truly hold such a rare gift to be able to do this. There are multiple other things I could talk about that they did that was wonderful. Thank you, Rebecca, Julie and Gail.

We initially worked with Rebecca and Samantha but during our ceremony we had a gentleman I believe his name was Russ. These three individuals are amazing and displayed nothing less than professionalism and care for our wishes during this hard time. I want to make sure they get the recognition they deserve. I cannot provide enough positive accolades for Dawn and Lori with how they handled services for my significant other. After a very difficult interaction at another local mortuary our family was left reeling and found it necessary to take our business elsewhere. We chose Newell-Hoerling's and it was the best decision; we could not have picked a better mortuary. Our only wish is that we had started with them in the first place. Without the care, compassion, and understanding from these two ladies, I'm not sure how a service and celebration of life could have been pulled off in such a short amount of time. They had less than two full days to get everything organized and in place for our already reserved and chosen date and they did so with grace and finesse. Having these two at hand to answer our questions and take care of all of the details - even down to some very special touches of which we were unaware until the day of the service - meant the world to me and his family. They definitely made a very difficult and emotional time a little easier on us by helping to ease our burden. So many friends and family (attendees) at the service and following reception, commented on what a well-organized and beautiful tribute it was. This was all due to the care Dawn and Lori took, it exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have been more pleased. We will confidently recommend them to others. Put your trust in these caring individuals as they will put your mind and heart at ease; details will be handled and your loved one will be treated with much dignity and respect as they are laid to rest.
