Myrna passed away peacefully at her home in Centralia, surrounded by her family after 92 glorious years.  She was born in a wheat ranch in Colfax, WA to Ray & Lula Lathen.  In 1936 they moved to the North Fork of the Newaukum River in Lewis County.  After moving to Salzer Valley in Centralia, Myrna graduated from Centralia High School in 1943.  She married Max Hultberg shortly after his discharge from the army in 1946 and had 2 children, Brad and Jay Hultberg.  Myrna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.

Myrna was very athletic, she loved playing basketball with the boys in High School PE as well as badminton and in later years became an excellent bowler.  Her other hobbies included camping with the family, digging razor clams and watching the Mariners and Seahawks.

Myrna is survived by her son Jay (Vickie) Hultberg of Olympia, WA., sister Jane (Bob) Bennett of Dewatto, WA., brother in law Joe Hatfield of Centralia, WA and daughter in law Melva Hultberg of Ocean Park, WA., grandchildren, Janelle Hultberg, of Avon, CO, Katie (Ben) Maxwell of Layton, UT., Matt Hultberg of Belfair, WA and Brett (Kaelie) Hultberg of Chehalis, WA., 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Max, son Brad, brother Wayne Lathen, sisters Janette Southard and Shirley Hatfield.

The family would like to give their sincere and heartfelt thanks to Amy and her staff at Colonial Assisted Living in Centralia where they cared for Myrna for 10 years and especially thru her final days.  She will always to known to them as “Miss Myrna”.
