Joseph Donald Worthey

June 8, 1935 ~ March 12, 2016 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Joe was born in Placerville, California to Vernetta and Joseph Worthey. He was the third of 7 children. He passed away at Providence Centralia Hospital on March 12, 2016. He was proceeded in death by his parents, sisters Deara King and Barbara Marshell, brother Carroll King and son Michael Worthey. He is survived by his wife Ruth at the family home. He is also survived by sisters: Betty Cambell and her husband David of Placerville, California and Anita Tracy of Arlington, Washington, Brothers: Stewart and his wife Anne King of Chehalis, Steven and his wife Brenda King of Centralia, daughters: Kristie, Vernetta, Diane, Darlene and Debbie, sons: Joseph, Garry and Donald, and stepchildren: Glenda Burgess, Daniel Rich, Dale Rich, Terry Coleman, William Coleman, Dan Teshera, Don Teshera and Joe Teshera and all of their spouses. Joe did not consider them as stepchildren as they were all his children equally. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joe spent most of his life as a mechanic as working on cars was his passion. He was a long time member of the Moose Lodge having served in many capacities. He enjoyed his animals and on occasion some traveling. His greatest thrill was going to the mountains. He had a good sense of humor and a wonderful smile that will be missed.

A memorial service will be held in his memory at the Moose Lodge, 1400 Grand Ave. Centralia Washington, on April 3, 2016 beginning at 12:00pm. A reception will follow.
