Deloris Malnerich

Deloris Agnes (Parypa) Malnerich

Enjoyed the gift of life November 6th, 1929 through April 19th, 2016.

Deloris passed  away peacefully with family by her side at Prestige, she was 86 years of age.

The daugther of Howard Lee Thornsbury, Stepfather Earl Dodds and Agnes Evelyn Herriford(Dodds) was one of three children.  Deloris Agnes, Dixie Lee and Richard Earl Dodds grew up in San Diego before moving to Washington in 1943 and living in the Centralia area.   Deloris is proceeded in death by her mother, father, brother Richard, husbands Lawrence Parypa(1963) and John Denny Malnerich (1994).

Deloris was married to Lawrence Parypa Jr. (1952).  During their 11 years together  they had three children.  Robert Neal Parypa(Janet), Joseph Lawrence Parypa(Ellen) and Krista Lynn Parypa. 

After Lawrence’s passing , Deloris dedicated herself to raising her 3 children when she met and married John Denny Malnerich in 1968 joining two families.  With Denny’s children John Robert Malnerich(Debbie) and Trudy Ruth Carlson, they became a family of five.

 Through the 26 years together they enjoyed 11 grand children.  Continuing on with family, Deloris was pleased to have 17 great grand children.

They joined their families together at a farm on Lincoln Creek.  Together they enjoyed life on the farm raising cattle, horses, vegetable and flower gardening.  Deloris spent a lot of time creating  beautiful flower gardens that bloomed gloriously all spring, summer and fall.  The gardens were also the inspiration for many of her colorful pieces if artwork. Deloris spent many hours creating paintings that were popular and favored by local collectors.  Deloris was a member of the Lewis County Art Leaque, The Art Shop Gallery, Superintendant of the Senior Art Department of the Southwest Washington Fair.  She also displayed her painting in various galleries,  art shows, entered juried shows even judging art shows herself. 

Denny and Deloris enjoyed many things together, the most favorite was their time together on the farm, traveling, the ocean beaches or just playing cards & games with  friends or family.

Deloris will be greatly missed, her legacy lives on through the expressions in her artwork.

Deloris will be forever in our hearts.

Services for Deloris will be held at Newell-Hoerling’s Mortuary, Saturday April 30, 2016 10:30am
