Terry Alan Whipple, age 83 died Wednesday March 23, 2022, at home in Chehalis, WA. He was born July 15, 1938, in Centralia, WA to Elry and Rubye Whipple.
Terry was raised in Centralia and graduated from Centralia High School. After high school he joined and served in the United States Navy, once home from the Navy Terry became a fireman with the Centralia Fire Department until his retirement.
On December 3, 1960, Terry and Linda (Darling) were married in Centralia. Together they had 3 children. Terry and his wife Linda enjoyed RVing with the Good Sam's Club and vacationing in Hawaii.
Terry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many fishing trips in Sekiu, WA. He was a well-known league bowler at Fairlane's Bowling Alley in Centralia. It was always a pleasure to get together with his buddies at Tower Tavern and have a few beers. His family and friends knew him as a back yard mechanic where he enjoyed working on anything mechanical.
He loved his John Deer tractors and watching NASCAR. Watching his grandson Jeff race sprint cars were wonderful pastimes for Terry.
He is survived by his wife Linda; Daughters, Brenda (Chuck) Goodline, Susan (George) Rollins; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren with another on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Julie Whipple.
A grave side services were held for Terry Whipple @ 11am, March 28, 2022, at Mt. View Cemetery, 1113 Caveness Dr., Centralia, WA.
