Obituary

Leroy (Bud) Vern Bratlien was born May 17th, 1925 and passed peacefully on March 17th, 2023. Bud married Edna Mae Newburn on November 2nd,1946 at her family home on G street in Centralia, which would later become the same home where they raised their three children. Bud retired from Uhlmann Motors in 1987 and enjoyed spending his time at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He and Edna also made many cherished memories on the road in their travel trailer. In his later years, he made it a priority to meet with family for Taco Tuesday every week, and leaves us with the reminder that “something that tastes this good could never be bad for you.”

He is preceded in death by his wife Edna, and his sister Gladys Mower. He leaves behind his three children; Michelle Gill, Craig Bratlien, and Jeff Bratlien as well as 8 grandchildren; Alicia Guinn, Kelly Denton, Chris Merritt, Casey Bratlien, Cevan Lawver, Cerstan Koduru, Jason Bratlien, Arianna Causey and 7 great grandchildren.

Leroy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
