Born: June 8th, 1944 in Auburn WA

Passed away July 22, 2020 at the age of 76 at his home in Oakville WA on the Chehalis Indian Reservation

 

Lee is survived by his wife Francis Starr 54 years of marriage, Son Lee Starr, Daughter Leah Secena & Son-in-law Sam Secena, Grandkids Catherine (Wiggy)  & husband Andrew Starr-Scott, Jake Secena, Johnny Secena, Andrew Starr & Deidra Hawks, Sid Cole & Kayley Sharp, Casilda & Jason Soeby, Great-Grandkids Baby Drew Starr, Tamika Starr, Anastazia Starr, Andres Jacobs, Desmond Cole, Anthony Soeby, Mia Soeby, Brothers Amil Starr Sr., Ben Starr Jr., Sisters Starla (TC) Starr & Lolly Starr and several Nephews & Nieces.

He was a lifelong Chehalis Tribal fisherman, he fished the Chehalis river since a young boy, he had the prime spot on the river, he always wanted to know “when’s the river going to open” he taught his son, grandson & nephews how fish, he worked in the logging industry for simpsons and moved on to work for the Chehalis tribe in carpentry and worked at the Tribal housing authority, he was a carpenter and auto mechanic he fixed several vehicles over his lifetime, he was always and willing to help one another when they needed it, he sold Fireworks for many years one of first to sell on the reservation, he was a good story teller he liked to talk to people, he liked to take drives and visit people all over the place he was well known my many, he enjoyed his grandchildren & great-grandchildren talked about them all the time.

Lee is proceeded in death by his parents Benjamin Starr Sr. & Violet Sanders-Starr, Daughter Eloise Starr, Great Grandson Carter Cole-Sharp, Sisters Wilma Graciano-Starr, Bea Christensen-Starr, Lucy Starr, Amanda (Susie) Starr, Betty Starr & Louise Starr
