Joyce Louise Zuber, age 85, passed away at her home in Centralia on April 16, 2020.
Joyce was born to James H and Iva E (Broxholm) Knowles in Watsonville California on January 24, 1935. She was the youngest of three. She graduated High School in 1953 and married David Zuber on September of that same year. They had three beautiful children together.
Joyce was a wonderful mother and homemaker but also worked as a teacher's aid for special needs students in the Olympia School District. Joyce kept busy with all this and still found time to help manage the books at her husband's car lot. Her life was dedicated to the care of her daughter with special needs and the special needs programs in Lewis County.
Joyce loved gardening and when she wasn't busy tending to the needs of her family and community, she was tending to her big flower pots. She always thought that one flower fitting in a pot meant that four would look even better.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, David Zuber; her daughter, Jennifer Zuber; her two sons, Jeffery and Mark Zuber; and her granddaughter Reyana Zuber.
Joyce is preceeded in death by her parents, James and Iva Knowles; her sister Jeanette Swain; and her brother, James H Knowles Jr.
Service information is not available at this time. Under the care of Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary.
