JoAnn P. Buzzard, long-time Centralia resident, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 88 years of age. JoAnn passed away surrounded by her family at University of Washington Hospital in Seattle following a brief illness. She was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, on February 9, 1934 to Christian and Emma Remboldt, going by the name JoAnn Phyllis Remboldt. The family moved to Everett, Washington, in 1942, where JoAnn attended public schools. Following graduation from Everett High School in 1952, she attended Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada for one year. She married John B. Nesset in 1953. JoAnn worked as Vice President of Title Guaranty of Lewis County for many years before retiring in 2000. She was a devoted member of Mountain View Baptist Church, and served on many Centralia-Chehalis boards and committees. In 1980, she married Richard J. Buzzard, who passed away in 1997. Her parents; and three older sisters, Jeannette Chugg, Joyce Hadeen, and Jewel Remboldt preceded her in death. JoAnn is survived by three sons and daughters in-law: John C. (Shan) Nesset of Pt. Townsend, Washington, Duane R. (Heidi) Nesset of Billings, Montana, and Jeffrey H. (Olga) Nesset of Pt. Townsend, Washington; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, June R. Aprille of Tamworth, New Hampshire; and stepchildren, Steven (Missy) Buzzard, Eric (Sally) Conrad, and O.B. (Sylvia) O’Brian and their extended families. . Her Memorial Service will begin at 11 am on Saturday, December 10, at Mountain View Baptist Church, 1201 Belmont Ave, Centralia, Wash., 98531.
