Obituary
James Louis Wood, beloved companion, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away on March 23, 2023.
He is survived by his loving companion and partner of 31 years, Adeline Elaine Gilligan; Sister, Karen Deck; Daughters, Diana Barnett, Debbie Billings, and Dana Mangano; Sons Andrew Wood and Chris Meyer; Ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Laura Wood; and his brother Gary Wood.
Born on February 22, 1938 in Chehalis, where he lived until graduating high school in 1956. Shortly after graduation, James joined the United States Marine Corp, achieving the rank of E-4 Corporal.
Whether it was during his time as Past-President of the Chehalis FOE, or member of St. Mark’s Lutheran church, James was proud to be of service. Though married and divorced four times, he was a very loving and trusting man. When he wasn’t fishing or bowling with the Blue Eagles, he loved Square Dancing and travelling with Elaine.
