James “Jimmer” Hugh Bailey, age 67, died Saturday, April 30, 2022, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, WA., after a 4-year struggle with lung cancer. He was born April 10, 1955, in Shelton, WA to Herbert and Betty (Patterson) Bailey.
In his younger years he worked as a fisherman on his father’s fishing boat. They fished as far north as Alaska. He went on to work for Tires Inc. in Chehalis, Jester Boats in Rochester, WA building ski boats. He owned Versa Craft Boats in Centralia and was part owner of Twin City Radio & TV that was in Yard Birds, Chehalis.
He is survived by brothers Daniel Bailey of Seaview, WA and Samuel Bailey of Chehalis, WA.; nieces Tanya Bailey, Toni Bailey and Maggie Adamson and nephew Bryan Bailey.
He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Betty Bailey.
A graveside service for James Bailey is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Claquato Cemetery, 142 Stearns Rd., Chehalis, WA., followed by a gathering at Dick’s Brewery, 3516 Galvin Rd., Centralia, WA.
