Dolores May (John) Adolphsen, a lifelong resident of Lewis County, passed away April 5, 2023.
Dolores was born in Chehalis, WA, on December 11, 1928 to Paul and Ester (Peterson) John. She grew up on Crego Hill outside of Adna, WA, and graduated from Adna High School.
Dolores married Albert Adolphsen on July 3, 1948, and he preceded her in death in June of 1984.
Dolores and Albert raised five children, four sons and a daughter, on their farm on Lincoln Creek. In the 1970’s Dolores worked as a product processor at National Frozen Foods, where she worked until retirement.
Dolores was an amazing gardener and always had a large garden; canning everything she grew. She enjoyed dancing and music, golf, and she loved to travel. She was an active member of Lewis County Dairy Wives, Lincoln Creek Friendly Neighbors Ladies Club, The Eagles and Moose Lodges, and RV groups.
Dolores is survived by her sons, Alan (Debbie) of Elma, Richard (Juanita) of Rochester, Steven (Beth) of Lake Stevens, and James (Annette) of Elma; and her daughter, Connie (Dave) Mohoric of Auburn. Dolores had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dolores was preceded in death by all nine of her siblings.
The family will have a graveside service with a Celebration of Life scheduled at a later date.
