David "Dave" was a silent warrior. Enduring to the end of his earthly journey, David will always be remembered as a loving father, proud papa, dependable brother and a loyal friend.
David was born January 7,1969 to John and Sharon Eames and was raised in Chehalis, Wa. David at a very early age learned the ropes of his family's restaurant, Chef John's Steak House from peeling potatoes to washing mounds of dishes and finally learning how to cook, which served him well in life because everyone who knew David enjoyed David's cooking! "Best stew ever!"
David attended school in Chehalis and graduated from W.F. West High School in 1987. His senior year, David was a Bearcat football star. He was always a fun guy to be around, a heart throb to all the girls, and the sweetest smile.
Upon graduating from high school, David enlisted in the U.S. Army. David was later stationed in Hawaii and met the love of his life and future mother to his children. Hawaii changed his life forever! While serving in the Army and building a budding romance, David joined the rowing team, easily becoming one with the locals. David is a proud Army Veteran and was honored to say he served in the Armed Forces.
David also served the State of Washington for over 20 years as a dedicated State worker at Green Hill School. His work ethic and his word was the foundation of his daily routine. David made some lifelong friends at Greenhill.
David had a love for the outdoors that was inspired by his Grampa Wes. At a very young age Grampa Wes would share his love of fishing and camping with David along the Smith River in Oregon. David in turn shared his love of the outdoors with his children taking them skiing, camping, fishing, and hunting (even if he never made the shot!)
Music was always an important part of David's life, attending rock concerts as a teen to country and blues concerts as an adult. David also had a love for classical and contemporary Christian music as well. Up to his last moments David was surrounded by the music he loved.
David had a way to make everyone he was around feel special and important .He enjoyed a good laugh with others by sharing funny stories or a questionable joke. David's lightheartedness and ability to make others feel special will surely be missed.
By the grace of God, David is the one who continues to bring our family closer.
Loyal father, papa, brother, uncle, friend, David John, you will be cherished for always, remembered forever, may you rest in peace.
