Dakota Minor Obituary

Dakota James Minor, 20, of Centralia, Wash., left us unexpectedly Saturday, December 10, 2022. He is loved and missed beyond measure.

Dakota was born August 14, 2002, in Olympia, Wash., to Theron and Odessa Minor. He was the sweetest son, and loving brother to his sisters, Kaylah, Khelsey, and Kennah.

There is so much we can say about Dakota’s life, but there isn’t enough room to write it all in these few short paragraphs. He was one of a kind and is irreplaceable- f you were lucky enough to have known him, you know what I’m talking about.

Dakota was an avid gamer- he loved playing with family and friends on his PS4- Fortnite, Dragon Ball Z, GTA, Need for Speed, Payday, and Call of Duty were his favorites. He was a YouTube enthusiast; he loved telling jokes and pulling pranks; he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad; going on road trips with his family; loved playing with sisters’ pets and his own dog, Odin and cat, Thor; putting puzzles together; and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

His grandmother, Sue, passed away in 2004.

Dakota’s memory will live on in the hearts of his parents, Odessa and Theron; sisters, Kaylah and brother-in-law Manuel Leal, Khelsey and brother-in-law Reynaldo Alcaya, and Kennah and brother-in-law Chris Stringer; nieces and nephews, Anayeli, Tyanna, Daniel, Aliyah, Araceli, Reynaldo Jr., Andres, Alessandro, Katalina and Kitana; grandparents, James and Brenda Clanin and Art and Judith Berg; and many other extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Dakota’s Life will be held at 12 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Newell- Hoerling’s Mortuary in Centralia. We will open the doors at 11 AM to allow time for socializing before the service. A luncheon will follow the Celebration at the same location. We hope to see you there.
