Becky Sue Collins, born Becky Sue Caldwell, of Onalaska, Washington, passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 67. She was known for her love of jokes and pranks and always finding the silver lining in every situation. Her sense of humor was infectious, and her doctors and nurses eagerly awaited her joke of the day. Becky married her soulmate, Ken Collins, on Halloween in 1976, and she always spoke fondly of how good he was to her.
In her career, Becky worked as a USPS contractor for over 24 years before leaving to work alongside her husband in their family’s tow company.
Outside of work, Becky had a variety of interests and hobbies. She enjoyed camping, cooking, experimenting with recipes, and cake decorating. She also found joy in riding ATV’s and was a valued member of the Lewis County Search and Rescue ATV unit. She loved horseback riding and was a bull rider and barrel racer in her youth.
Family was incredibly important to Becky. She is survived by her loving husband, Ken Collins of Onalaska; her daughter Cheyenna (David) Smith of Onalaska; her son Wayne (Pam) Collins of Chehalis; her granddaughters Kahlia Meeuwsen and Amanda Smith; and her grandsons, Dakota and Hayden Collins. Becky cherished her role as a grandmother and held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren that were very important to her. She is also leaving behind her sister, Marcia (Steve) Smith of Nyssa, Oregon; and her brother Ted (Nickie) Caldwell of Elk, Washington. She also had a niece, nephews, and several “adopted” kids whom she cared for deeply.
Becky was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy (Shultz) Caldwell; her father, Jerry Caldwell; and her stepfather, Leslie Shultz.
Becky Sue Collins will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her infectious sense of humor, and caring nature, will be remembered and cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
