Beatrice M. Zinza, age 82, passed away at an adult family home in Rochester on March 8, 2020.
Beatrice was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on August 21, 1937 to Aaron and Ruth Davis, the sixth of ten children. She grew up in Hinsdale and Worthington, MA. She graduated from North Hampton High School in 1955. She married Paul Zinza in 1960 and lived in New York City during their early years of marriage, then moved to Enfield, Connecticut in 1966. They raised five sons together during their years in Enfield. In 2013 they moved across country to Rochester, Washington to be closer to family.
Beatrice was a member of the Rochester Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness and had a deep love for her god Jehovah and a firm belief in the resurrection hope.
Bea was known for being a kind soul and a good person. She loved the springtime when the robins would come out and enjoyed the flowers with the red Zinnias being her favorite. Country music and Rock and Roll from the 1950’s were her favorite to listen to and she loved watching car racing with Joey Lagona being her favorite race car driver. She was also a big Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Zinza; sons, Paul, John (Lisa), Timothy (Ginnie); and grandchildren, Anna, Dawson, Cade and Danica.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Ruth (Palmer) Davis; and sons, James and Thomas.
The memorial service will be rescheduled for a future time yet to be determined.
