Obituary

Willard "Bill" Wayne Latimer, aka "Goat," 81, of Chehalis, Washington, passed away June 11, 2026.

Bill was born Feb. 27, 1945, to Willard and Lorraine Latimer in Raymond, Washington. He graduated from Willapa Valley High School in 1963. He married his lifelong partner and friend, Julie, Dec. 11, 1965.

After graduation he attended college and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Forestry in 1968. Bill eventually went on to become the owner/operator of Jubilee Logging Company.

He enjoyed hunting and exploring the outdoors, especially with his family, friends and his dogs. One of his greatest joys was watching his children and grandchildren participate in various activities, especially sports. He was easy going, steady, caring, and humble. He also enjoyed an occasional Mountain Dew - LOL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie; father, Willard; mother, Lorraine; and brother-in-law, Dave.

Bill will be forever remembered by his three children, Karmen Birley (Tim), Greg Latimer, Shawn Latimer (Jill); his grandchildren, Alden, Blaine, Carli, and Jerett (Kelsey), Kelsi (Riley) and Drew (Presley); two great-grandchildren, Lance and Hadyn; his sisters, Cheryl, Susan, and Shelley (Don); and brother, Steve (Ann).

Goat will be missed by all his friends and family who were lucky enough to be part of his life. The endless stories and fun times will never be forgotten.

A life tribute will be held at Bethel Church - Assembly of God (132 Kirkland Rd. Chehalis, WA) on Aug. 12, 2026, at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Adna Scholarship Fund P.O. Box 93 Adna, WA, 98522.

The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Chehalis West and Assured Home Health and Hospice for their care, compassion, and kindness.
