Wanda Lea Couchman, a bright beacon of compassion and love, passed away on 26th of July 2024. Born on November 8, 1956, in Richland, Washington, she was a treasured daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn Isaacson. She carried the heart of her birthplace with her as she made her home in Richland, Washington, where she resided for most of her life, but, for the past five years she resided in Rochester Washington. Wanda was an epitome of generosity, continually extending a helping hand to both people and animals alike. Wanda's intelligence and dedication shone brightly in her professional life. Her smart work ethic and relentless dedication led her to become the Program Manager at the Pacific NW National Laboratory, a recognition she cherished. Wanda retired in 2016 from the Lab, carrying fond memories and leaving a mark of excellence behind. She went back to work as an Office Manager at Menks Mobile Vet, contributing significantly to improving processes in management of the clinic. In her retirement, she found joy in tending to her garden and caring for birds and wildlife, an extension of her generous spirit. Wanda's family was the centerpiece of her life. Her love for them was as boundless as her faith in her religion. As a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, she lived the words from Psalm 23:6, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Wanda's spirit of compassion, love, and generosity will continue to inspire her family and friends. Wanda's life is a testament to her loving, smart, and compassionate nature that touched the lives of many. Her commitment towards her family, friends, and community was unwavering. Wanda was a loving wife to Lester Couchman, and a cherished mother to Brandon Couchman, wife Jennifer and her late son Christopher Couchman and his wife Codi Couchman. She was also an adoring Nana to 5 beautiful grandchildren: Olivia, Isaac, Evelyn, Adam and Finnely. Also by her brothers Erick, Vince and Carl and spouses. She was preceded in death by her son Christopher, her parents, Raymond and Evelyn Isaacson.
