Viola was born in Oakville, Wash., on March 26, 1918 to Berta (Fry) and Floyd Atwood. Viola passed away on Feb. 17, 2013 at the age of 94 at Providence Hospital in Centralia, Wash. Vi graduated from Olympia High School in 1937. She met and married Charles Pennypacker on June 26, 1937, they had three children. Vi and Charles and family lived several years in Washington, Alaska and Arizona. She worked as a cook in several restaurants and Hospitals. Vi was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, daughter, Patricia, parents, and two sisters. Vi leaves behind one daughter, Carol of Colorado, son and daughter -in-law, Thomas and Betty Pennypacker of Centralia, 10 grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Viola was loved and admired by many and will be missed. She is with God now. Services will be held on Mach 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Chehalis, Wash, where Vi was a member for many years.
