Sharon Lynn Frerichs, of Olympia, WA passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the age of 69. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary in Centralia, WA. Sharon was born February 4, 1945 in Centralia, WA, to Edward and Patricia Israelson. She spent her childhood in Pe Ell, WA. Sharon married Ronald Frerichs on December 4, 1963. Ron and Sharon made Olympia, WA their home in 1971. Sharon worked as a Program Developer for the State of Washington, Department of Fish and Wildlife. Sharon was involved in book and investment clubs, and enjoyed supporting local theater and music. In retirement, Sharon gave her time to AARP. Some will remember Sharon for her calm and sensible advice. Some will miss the subtle, yet deliberate way she expressed her opinions. Some will think of how she invited them in, welcoming and without hesitation. We will all remember Sharon as one of the most thoughtful, generous, and selfless people we've ever met. Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Ron, and her parents, Ed and Pat. Sharon is survived by her son Ron Frerichs, Jr. and his wife Gina; her son Kevin Frerichs and his wife, Dani; her sisters Sue Telecky and Laura Denney; seven grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
