Scott William Slemp, age 43, passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2016. Scott was in Colorado having just finished his orientation, and passing all of his tests to go back to the long haul trucking job that he loved. He was ready to hit the road but never left as he was found just outside of the truck. He was loved very much by his wife and family and will be deeply missed. Scott Slemp was born in Olympia to Edward and Phyllis Slemp. He was married to Annie on February 12, 2005. He was a loving son, husband, brother, uncle, and great uncle. Scott loved to watch the Seahawks, Mariners, and wrestling. He also loved camping, fishing, shooting, and riding his quad but his passion was always driving truck. Scott is survived by his dad; Edward Slemp, sisters; Wendy Charles and Kim Taylor, Brother; Don Richardson, niece; Adrianne, nephews; Jacob and Grady, great-niece; Alexis, and great-nephew; Carter. He is preceded in death by his mom; Phyllis Slemp, brothers; Edward Richardson and Robert Longworthy. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Newell-Hoerling's on Saturday September 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm. A celebration of life will follow at Independence Valley Community Hall 148 Nelson Rd., Rochester, WA 98579
