Ronald "Ron" Dale Howard of Centralia, passed away on December 27, 2013 at the age of 66. He was proceeded in death by his father, Norman Howard; survived by his mother, Eunice Howard, his loving wife Judy; their two children: Richard and Jennifer; and his sister Karen (Dan). He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father and brother, always putting family first. He graduated from Centralia High School and then attended University of Washington, graduating in 1969 in Civil Engineering. He also earned an MBA from the University of Puget Sound in 1982. After attending UW, he worked 37 years for WA State Department of Transportation in construction, starting as a surveyor, then Project Engineer and eventually State Construction Engineer. After retirement in 2005, he was active with Dispute Resolution Boards, working with DOT and private contractors. He remained an avid Huskies fan, ferocious reader and was involved in Boy Scouts of America. His quick wit and extensive knowledge on most topics will be sorely missed.
