Ronald William Bond, age 66, of Onalaska, WI, formerly of Black River Falls, WI and Rochester, WA, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
He was born on January 15, 1960 in Moses Lake, WA to William and Shirley (Lobe) Bond. He grew up in Wenatchee, WA and attended elementary school there before moving and graduating from Rochester High School. Ron served his country in the US Army for four years and another four years in the Navy Reserve. He was very proud of his service and liked to stay in touch with his Navy buddies.
Ron loved being a radio DJ at Evergreen State College with his friend Gordon Newby. He loved music, especially KISS. He was also a former volunteer firefighter for the Rochester Fire Department and worked as a janitor at Rochester High School. Another passion of Ron's was photography. He loved being a photographer for WWF wrestling.
He will be deeply missed by his two siblings, John (Sharon) Bond and Annette (Mark Christensen) Bond; aunt, Jennie Bradley; nephew, Jeffery Bond; his Wisconsin REM family; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parent and nephew, Adam Wade Bond.
A funeral service will be held at Torgerson Funeral Home, Black River Falls at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 with Pastor Elden Simonson officiating.
A public viewing service will be held at Newell-Hoerlings Mortuary February 20th at 11am-2pm. Graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday February21st at 11 am with a potluck reception to follow at Grace Baptist church.
