Patrica June (Davis) Budziszewski was born June 12, 1934 to Reah and Clifford Davis at home in Onalaska under the smoke stack. When Carlisle Mill went on strike the family moved to Davis Rd. on Michigan Hill where she started her school years. They then moved to Centralia where they landed on Diamond St. Pat (as Mom liked to be called) worked at Carl's shoe store on Tower, so she could help support the family. They survived many hardships during and after the war including their home burning down. After graduating from Centralia High School in 1952, she moved to downtown Seattle's YWCA and began working for Pacific NW Bell as a switchboard operator. Seattle is where she first rode in an elevator. Returning home on weekends to care for her family is when she attended a dance at Plaquato Dance Hall in Claquato and met her future husband, Ronald "Ski". They married in 1953 just prior to the Navy transferring him to Boston. In Boston, they shared their first Christmas in a small flat. After Ski's service with the Navy they returned to Centralia to start a family and continue her 35 years with PNW Bell.
Pat was trained and ran the first "at home" kidney dialysis machine in Lewis County for her husband.
Pat loved her gardening, bird watching, bowling and trips to Reno. She was a member of her local garden club, Pinocle club, Chehalis Eagles and Moose.
She was a caregiver for her mother and sisters and was always first to lend a hand when anyone was in need.
Pat was unquestionably the best mother, sister, grandmother and friend anyone could hope to have. We will miss you forever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ski; son, Ron Jr.; mother, Reah; father, Clifford; sisters, Nadine Eyler and Judy Wentworth; brothers, Robert Bond and Clifford Davis. She leaves behind her son, Michael; daughter, Susan; granddaughters, Renee Jones and Carolyn Harris (Chad); great-grandchildren, Conner and Alexa Harris, all of Chehalis; sisters, Beverly Jean Sellards and Sheryl Reither, both of Centralia; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many neighborhood children she thought of as her adopted grandchildren.
