Mamie Grace Barnes was born to William and Martha Peterson in Montesano, Wash., on Feb. 2, 1908. She lived most of her adult life in California and Utah. She moved to Chehalis in 1985 to live with her sister, Amanda Brenneis. She moved to Lander House, Centralia in 2004 and lived there until she passed away, Nov. 24, 2012, at the age of 104. Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, William Barnes. She is survived by nephew, Earl Brenneis of Olympia, nieces, Bette White of Chehalis, JoAnn Yark of Olympia and Martha Filo of Belfair. Mamie belonged to the Onalaska Presbyterian Church. At her request there will be no services. Burial is at Sacramento, Calif. Arrangements are under the direction of Newell-Hoerlings Mortuary
