Obituary

Lorraine M. Hubbard Howell Neva was born Aug. 18,1927 in Byron, Okla., to George R. & Lillian (LaBrue) Hubbard. She died quietly in her home in Centralia on June 3, 2012, as her granddaughter sang to her. She had been a resident of Centralia since 1950, coming from Vancouver where her children were born. She had attended Centralia College and later worked at Kraft Foods, the chicken co-op, wound transformers, and the Centralia Plywood Mill, later working in the office. She was an office employee at Mayfield Dam. Her last and favorite job was working in the office for Bud & Virginia Breen Construction. Lorraine had also sang in the St. Mary's Church Choir. She is survived at home by her husband Myron L. Neva, daughter, Jeanne (Lon) Howard, and stepchildren, Mark (Carol) Neva and Michele (Jeann) Washkau, brother, Dean Hubbard and two sisters, Marge Stoltenberg and Betty Boyd, 31 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Lorraines friend and cousin Clyde Paulson, as well as her loving caregivers. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, two children Jay Howell Jr. and Gwynn Franzen, brother, Rovell Hubbard and two step-children, Greg Neva and Robin Raap. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Centralia, on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. Committal services will follow at 1:30 P.M. at Claquato Cemetery, Chehalis, Wash. Visitation may be made at Newell-Hoerling's Chapel on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 2:30 to 5:00 P.M. Arrangements assisted by Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary, Centralia.
