Laura "Lolly" Leta Starr, a lifelong resident of Oakville, WA, passed away on September 22, 2024. Born on February 11, her exact year of birth remains cherished within her family. Laura was a beacon of positivity, known for her ever-present smile and sunny disposition.
Laura leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, particularly noted for her role as the favorite aunt who babysat every generation of her family, creating lifelong memories. Her love extended beyond her family as she was an avid watcher of classic television, bringing the golden era of TV into her and her family's everyday joy.
She is survived by her brother, Benjamin Starr Jr. Laura was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Starr Sr.; her mother, Violet Sanders-Starr; and siblings Wilma Graciano, Beatrice Starr, Lee Starr Sr., Amil Starr Sr., Starla Starr, Lucille Starr, Susie Starr, Louise "Punky" Starr and Betsy Starr.
The community will honor Laura's life with a funeral service on September 26, 2024, at Oakville Shaker Church at 10:00 AM, followed by a burial at Grand Mound Cemetery. A dinner will follow at the Chehalis Tribal Community Center, where family and friends can share memories and celebrate Laura's life.
Laura's life was marked by her capacity to bring light and laughter into the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of warmth and kindness will live on through the many lives she touched.
