Kenneth Halphide, 93, husband, father and brother passed away in Centralia, WA on Feb. 27, 2025. Ken was born in Williston, ND on Oct. 1, 1931.
Married Georgian (Pazzin) Halphide on Jan. 30, 1959, in Seattle, WA, had one son Keith (wife Kathy).
Served as an Army medic and assistant platoon leader during the Korean Conflict caring for wounded in combat and later at an aid station.
Worked for the REA installing power lines in rural Oregon, later moved to Seattle and spent 30 years as a machinist at Boeing, receiving multiple awards and a couple of patents.
Private pilot, avid golfer, wood carver and flew radio controlled airplanes. Loved the outdoors and mountains, especially exploring on a snowmobile or motorcycle with his son.
Enjoyed numerous RV trips across several western states visiting family and taking their RV to Arizona for 27 winters of golfing and catching up with seasonal friends.
Described as "Gentle Ken" by close friends, he will be missed by family.
Private service at Tahoma National Cemetery with Military Honors.
