September 5, 1951- March 19, 2026

Karen Fay Teitzel of Centralia, WA died on March 19th, 2026, after a long battle with heart disease. Karen was born in Chehalis, WA September 5th, 1951, to James Lloyd and Vivian Marie Teitzel, the 5th of 6 children. Karen started her life in Chehalis WA, and just a couple years later moved to Centralia, WA where she remained the rest of her life.

After graduating from Centralia High School in 1969, Karen attended Centralia College where she studied computer science. Shortly after college, Karen began a long career at Centralia Knitting Mills, where after 46 years retired in 2018. She loved her job and her coworkers.

Karen spent her life doing what she loved. Her raising of flowers, gardening, baking, beautiful craft work of leaded glass art and jewelry making were lifelong hobbies. She loved traveling and road trips around the western US and Canada. She was active in the local PT cruiser club for several years touring the area and participating in parades and other events.

Karen had a quiet kindness that was loved and appreciated by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Vivian and an infant sister. She is survived by her brothers Rodney Teitzel and Rex Teitzel, sisters Diana Carlile and Javene Teitzel, and many nieces and nephews.
