June (Gifford) Anderson passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Chehalis West Assisted Living. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great- grandmother. She brought joy to many family members and friends with her story telling and loving personality. Born Feb. 20, 1919 in Tenino, Wash., to Lavania and Albert (Bud) Gifford. She graduated from Centralia High School in 1937 and lived in the Chehalis/Centralia area her entire life. She loved being a beautician/hair stylist for many years even after her retirement from Crescent Beauty Shop in Centralia. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard of 62 years together; son, Eddy; sister, Emma Jane Breckenridge; and brother, Marvin Gifford. She is survived by her son, Dale Anderson (Lori); daughter, Kathy Schufreider (James); and daughter-in-law, Laraine Anderson. She was so proud to have eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Newell-Hoerling Mortuary Chapel, Centralia at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013. Graveside burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Centralia. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
