Julie Ann (Olson) Latimer, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 21, 2013. Julie was born June 28, 1945, to Lyle and Ruth Olson in Everett, Wash. She married her lifelong partner and friend, Bill Latimer, on Dec. 11, 1965. They resided in Adna, Wash., where she owned and operated the Adna Grocery Store since 1990. Her earlier careers included being a bookkeeper and a beautician. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the beach. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, ceramics, fishing and playing bingo. She was a great cook and enjoyed family meals. She and her husband, Bill, recently took their family on an Alaskan cruise. She was very generous, caring and strong willed (if you knew her, she was always right!). Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren participate in various activities, especially sports. She was a great supporter of the Adna Community and a loyal Pirate fan. Some of her favorite things were "The Pirate Nation," University of Washington Huskies and her favorite color, purple.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle, mother, Ruth and brother, Roger. Julie leaves behind her husband, Bill, her three children, Karmen Birley (Tim), Greg Latimer (Denise), her grandchildren, Alden, Blaine and Carli, Shawn Latimer (Jill), her grandchildren, Jerett, Kelsi and Drew, her sister, Sharen Evans (Richard) and her in-laws, Willard and Lorraine Latimer.
