Julian Andrew Wilkes was born June 4, 1951, to Carroll and Helen Wilkes in Prince Frederick, Maryland. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in June of 2024 and lost his battle on November 9, 2024. He worked for many years in the music industry before settling in Washington State. He married Sarah Lilly, and they had two children, Alex and Louisa. After they divorced, he married Suzette Merrill, and they were married for over 33 years. Julian began working for Centralia College in 1986 and retired in 2016. Julian was preceded in death by his parents, sister Denise Barry and brother Michael. He is survived by his wife Suzette, children Alex (Denise) and Louisa (Damian), stepson Chris Lytle (Trang) and grandchildren, Jack Lytle, Aubrey Wilkes, Logan Wilkes and Owen Green, all of Washington. His surviving siblings include Matthew Wilkes of Maryland, Kathy Wilkes-Albrizio of Connecticut, Andy Wilkes of Connecticut, Wayne Wilkes of Washington. His beloved dog, Bella Wilkes, also survives at the family home. Julian asked that no formal service take place. The family will plan a Memorial serv at a later date. He asked everyone he encountered to stop smoking. He stopped smoking cigarettes in 2010, but it was not soon enough.
