Juanita Rhoads, born as Juanita Buck on May 17, 1955, was an extraordinary woman whose presence was a sheer blessing to those around her. She resided in the beautiful town of Mineral, Washington, for over 70 years, where she touched countless lives with her courageous spirit and resilient character. Juanita passed away on June 15, 2025, leaving a void that could never be filled. Juanita's life was one that was lived with fullness and vibrancy, despite never being formally employed. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, her family being the pillar of her existence. Juanita found joy in the simplest pleasures of life. She was an avid fan of horror movies, her courage reflected in her choice of genre. Coloring was another hobby she cherished, an artistic expression of her resilient spirit. She loved going to bingo, a testament to her lively and engaging nature. Above all, spending time with her grandchildren was what she relished the most, the love and warmth she had for them evident in every interaction. Throughout her life, Juanita was a believer, drawing strength from her Catholic faith. The verse from the book of Joshua 1:9, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" resonates perfectly with Juanita's character. She lived this verse, her courage and resilience shining through in her every action. She is survived by her three children, Samantha Curtis and Terry Monesmith, along with her five cherished grandchildren. Juanita was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Buck. Juanita will be remembered for her courage, resilience, and the love she had for her family. Her memories will continue to inspire us, and her spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
