Jewell Anderson, 99 years young, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished traditions. She was born in 1926 in Hartville, Missouri, and in 1937 moved with her family to Doty, Washington, where she would build a beautiful life.

In 1947, Jewell married Donald Smith, and together they raised a wonderful family of six children. Jewell especially enjoyed being surrounded by her family-those moments brought her the greatest joy and meaning in life.

She had many talents and passions throughout her life. Jewell loved gardening, camping, oil painting, wallpapering, cooking, upholstery, and canning. Whether she was creating

something with her hands or preparing a meal, everything she did was filled with care and love for others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Smith; her parents, Homer and Orpha Morton; her brothers Doyle, Murl (Mut), Billy, and Dean; her sister Ruby Jerles; her son

Jeremy Smith; and her grandsons Austin Smith and Mike Bryant.

Jewell is survived by her children Sherelen Wildhaber (Tony), Robin Mestaz (Julian), Kim Eanes (Scott), Jodi Smith (Jesse), and Ron Smith (Angie), along with 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to carry on her legacy.

Jewell was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

A service will be held at Lebam Community Church on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Doty/Dryad Cemetery. A reception will follow at the VFW Hall in Pe Ell, Washington, at 2:00 p.m.
