Jeanette Fay Cheyney was born to Warren and Gertrude Bryson on June 14, 1933 in Centralia, Wash. She resided her entire 80 years in Lewis County and passed onto her new journey on Aug. 4, 2013. She married the love of her life, James F. Cheyney Jr. on Aug. 14, 1950. Together they raised their family in Chehalis, Wash., and enjoyed 46 happy years together. She retired from Centralia Community College and was ever so supportive of her husbands law enforcement career as a sergeant in the Chehalis Police Department. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; and daughter, Catherine Eileen Schmidt. She is graciously survived by daughter, Carolyn Williams and Dale of Lakewood, Wash.; son, Fred Cheyney and Pam of Puyallup, Wash.; six grandchildren, Tanya, Tony, Lindsey, Allison, Matthew and Michael; eight great-grandchildren; four siblings, Doris Myhr of Olympia, Fredrick Bryson of Lacey, Helen Stedham-Morton of Rochester and Sharon Morrow of Dupont, Wash.
Jeanette was a loving and supportive friend, wife, mother and grandmother always there for family and friends with never ending love and generosity. She will be missed and cherished by all.
Viewing will be held Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary. Graveside service will be held Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery. Reception to follow.
