Janice J. Boggs, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of August 30th, 2026. She was 95 years old.

Born on March 17, 1931, in Manistique, Michigan to Jess and Marion Wharfield. She was predeceased by her husband, Arlie Boggs. Having lived through the Great Depression, they embraced a simple life and built a home in Centralia, Washington, grounded in love and devotion.

She was also predeceased by her three sisters, Merle, Gertrude, and Helen. Because they lived far apart, their visits were infrequent, but whenever they gathered, they reminisced about growing- up together and cackled with laughter like a flock of hens. She often shared stories of her childhood with them and the many fond memories they made together.

She is survived by her son, James Arlie Boggs, two words could describe the kind of mother she was; incredible and giving. Also survived by four grandsons, Joshua, Derek, Arlie, and Justin. She was immensely proud of the remarkable young men they became. From the time the older boys entered her life, and the younger boys were born, she cherished every moment she spent with them. They meant the world to her, and she made sure everyone knew it.

She was a devoted Christian woman who supported her husband, Arlie, throughout his years in ministry. She also taught children's Sunday school for many years, and many former students still fondly remember the time they spent in her class.
