Centralia resident James Vernon Geist, age 59, passed away at OHSU in Portland Oregon on March 18, 2019. James was born on July 30, 1959 to Vernon and Barbara (Webster) Geist in Morton Washington. He married Denise Mann on September 6, 1980 at the Central Bible Evangelical Free Church in Centralia Washington. James worked in the trucking industry as well as being very proactive in church. James is survived by his loving wife; Denise Geist, sons; Ryan James Geist and Tyler Vernon Geist, Grandaughter; Madison Haylee Geist, Mother; Barbara Geist, and brother; John Geist. He was preceded in death by his father; Vernon Geist, and sister; Judith Palmer. No services are scheduled at this time. Under the care of Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary.
