Irene Leola Blair Davidson, affectionately known to her loved ones as Grandma Dear, was born in Selah, Wash., on Dec. 13, 1921 to Archie and Mabel Blair. She concluded her 91 year journey here on Earth Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.
In 1959 she met and married Leland Davidson. In 1967 Lee was employed by the Centralia Parks Department allowing them the opportunity to live in The Borst Home where they resided until 1980.
Irene retired after 18 years of driving bus for the Centralia School District. She was an avid bowler well into her 80s and enjoyed her "bowling gals." Other hobbies she enjoyed included crossword puzzles, knitting, reading, ceramics and traveling. Later in life she fulfilled her lifelong desire to oil paint but her greatest passion was always her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Lee of 53 years, daughter, Rose (Earl) Schoolcraft, both of Centralia, son, Maury (Barb) Lumbert of Texas, eight grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Her son, Robert Lee Lumbert preceded her in death.
Services will be held at the Oakview Grange in Centralia on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. Luncheon immediately following.
