We are sad to announce the passing of Greg Scott Turner. Age 45 of Chehalis, formerly of Ketchikan, Alaska. Greg was born on December 31, 1967 in Ketchikan and passed suddenly on Wednesday November 20, 2013 in Providence Centralia Hospital. Greg's last years were spent working with Tyler Rental as a heavy duty mechanic. He will be remembered by his co - workers for his big smile, quick wit, hard work, and his ability to tell a great story. Greg was a generous, loving, hard working man. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and a football enthusiast. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family. Greg was always ready with a kind word, a silly joke , and a big shoulder when ever you needed one. In 1986 Greg served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airbourne division after graduating Kayhi in 1986, traveling to Vcenza, Italy. A proud veteran who would have done what was needed for his country. Greg is survived by his wife Mickie (Cavan) Turner. 2 daughters: Kymberly and Cassy (Tyler). 1 son: James Turner. His beloved parents Al and Donna (williams) Turner. 2 brothers: Gary Turner and Cabe Martin. 1 sister Tasha Brendible (Jarrid) as well as many aunts, uncles , cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Stuart and Tina Whitehead. Greg will always be remembered for his big smile, his love for his job and he will be dearly missed by all. Greg and his father Al went hunting in Big Goat Lake, Alaska where they traveled up the mountain and had a near - death experience. His final resting place will be over Big Goat Lake where he will always be on his last great Alaskan Hunt. Relatives and friends are respectfuly invited to Greg's Memorial Service on Saturday Nov. 23, 2013 at 4PM in Newell Hoerling's Mortuary. Final military honors will be rendered by the United States Army promptly at 4 PM
