Greg A. Penley age 61, of Chehalis, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013 at his Chehalis residence. He was the beloved husband of Conni J. (Hansen) Penley with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. Greg was born in Seattle and was the beloved son of the late Herbert and Geraldine (Gregory) Penley. He was a graduate of Centralia High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from Western Washington University.
Greg worked at Kinnear Doors, which was bought out by Wayne Dalton, then Overhead Door Company. He started as a cost accountant, worked his way to lumber buyer, assistant manager, then to general manager. He was general manager for 30 years.
Greg enjoyed hunting, golfing, shooting in the woods, antiques, old cars and watching Chad Hinkle race at the South Sound Speedway. He was an avid NASCAR, Seahawks, Mariners and UW Huskies fan.
Greg was a very loving and generous husband, father and friend. He was well loved and respected by all who knew him.
In addition to his loving wife, Greg is survived by his daughters, Trisha Johnson of Centralia and Erica Penley of Richland, Wash.; son, Adam Penley of Los Angeles, Calif.; Shelly Hinkle, who Greg and Conni considered a daughter along with her husband, Chad of Yakima, Wash.; and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and mother-in-law. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Rex.
