Obituary

Gloria Jean Jenson passed away July 3, 2026, at Sharon Care Assisted Living in Centralia, Washington. She was born April 29, 1934, in Carrington, North Dakota.

Gloria met and married Leo Jenson in Carrington in 1952. In 1962, they moved with their four daughters to Centralia.

She was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Gloria worked for Anderson Dental Lab for many years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, baking and was an avid reader. She also got much pleasure from her Wednesday "Lunch Bunch." She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Swartout; her brothers, Richard "Dick" Swartout and George Swartout; her sister, Sharon Salas; and her husband, Leo Jenson.

She is survived by her brother, Robert "Bob" Swartout; her sister, Marlys Wood; her daughters, Janel Mussman (Mike), Karen Mitchell (Brett), Patti Moore and Lynn Bates (David); her grandchildren, Sean McCormick, Sarah Bingham (Jason), Samantha Mitchell Gluck (Monte), Kelsey Barron (Chris), Hillary Simon-Felix (Rondel), Bonnie Speck and Terra Moe; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family extends special thanks to the staff at Sharon Care for the wonderful care they provided. They also thank Assured Hospice for helping the entire family.

A memorial service will be held at noon Aug. 1, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Centralia.
