Gerald Francis Matthews, age 79, passed away at his home in Winlock March 24th 2016. He is survived by his wife: Mary Jane Matthews and children: Bill Reyes, Joel, Michael, James, and Aaron Christin, grandchildren: Tracey Day, Nikkolas Wheatley, Sidney Heath, Riley, Zachary, Samuel and Ella Christin, Great grandchildren: Celina Wheatley and Hayden Christin. Gerald was a retired teamster truck driver and a lifelong member of the VFW. He also served in the Navy where he was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Hanson. Gerald always looked forward to the reunions where he and his former shipmates could reconnect and share memories of their past experiences together. He will be greatly missed.
