Gerald Goble passed away on April 30, 2013 at Capital Medical Center in Olympia with is loving wife, Lois, by his side. He was born to Edward Carl and Beulah Clark Goble in Longview, Wash., on January 17, 1941.
He attended the early elementary grades in Castle Rock, Wash., and the rest of his school years at the Randle Elementary and White Pass High School, graduating in 1959. After attending one year at Centralia Community College, he secured a job at the Randle Forest Service and worked there until he retired. After retirement, he did part time work as a security guard.
He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and his work, which was mainly designing and construction staking of roads. On Feb. 3, 1961, he married Lois Volana Noel of Morton, Wash. He is survived by his wife of 52 years; two children, Jodery Andrew Goble (Sandra) of Goldendale, Wash. and Melanie Noel Goble, Los Angeles, Calif; two grandchildren, Drew Victor and Amber Irene Goble; a sister, Carleen Christian of Randle; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; his paternal grandparents; Emery Goble and Jessie Goble Dewald; step-grandfather, Jake Dewald; and maternal grandparents, Walter and Anna Clark; father-in-law, Andrew Franklin Noel, Sr.; step-father-in-law, Roscoe Gleason; and brother-in-law, Clarence (Buck) Christian.
Gerald was a volunteer fireman in his earlier years. When he was in high school, he was active in sports and continued that interest by coaching basketball and little league baseball.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2013, at the Silver Creek Cemetery on Silverbrook Rd., with a reception following at the Randle Methodist Church
