Florence "Flo" Harding was born Nov. 3, 1924 in Tenino, Wash. A graduate of Centraila High School, she contributed to the war effort as a "Rosie the Riveter" and held many interesting jobs that included Avon Lady, logging truck driver, strawberry/cucumber field boss, bookkeeper and more.
Flo married Edwin Harding (deceased 1978) in 1946 and had five children: Ona Harding-Ahrens (Chehalis), Lynn Osborn (Centralia), Skip Harding (deceased 2000), Marv Harding (Las Vegas) and Lisbeth Panush (Olympia). She is survived by 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
Flo loved road trips, fishing, hunting, golf, gambling, sports, and traveling abroad. She especially enjoyed camping with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent the last 25 years as a part of the Thorbeckes Fitness Center family keeping books, running errands and enjoying time with friends she made there.
Flo passed from complications due to a stroke on Thursday, May 24. Per her request, a wake will be held in July to celebrate her life.
