Esther Marie Quaintance passed away at home, with her family by her side May 14, 2013. She was born Nov. 28, 1930 in Medicine Hat, Alberta Canada. She leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Howard; three children, Dan, Victoria and Anita. Esther also had five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and one feisty white Chihuahua. Esther and family moved to Centralia in 1967. She taught fifth and sixth grades at Edison Elementary School for 17 years. After retiring, she opened Q's Country Shoppe at Centralia Square. She found joy in collecting antiques, tending to her Dahlia gardens, and spoiling her grand kids. A celebration of life will be held at the family home, 1217 Fieldcrest Ave., in Centralia on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The family invites all friends to come share fond memories, good times, and great food.
