Emilia Dorothy Bush joined her brothers, sisters, husband and daughter in heaven on September 14th, 2024. She was born September 22, 1927, on the island of Maui and grew up with her eight siblings on a sugar cane plantation.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Ronald Bush, and her eldest daughter, Laura Bennett. Emilia leaves behind three children, Frank Bennett (Centralia), Connie Thomas (Chehalis) and James Bennett (Kaui), as well as twelve grandchildren.
Emilia raised her four children on her own while employed at National Frozen Food, and then for many years at the Wheel Café, and the American Legion post #17. She was known to be gregarious and carried her spunk well into her later years.
She attended St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Catholic churches and was a member of the Chehalis Eagles for sixty years. Emilia was also involved with the American Legion Auxiliary for Women and the Elks. One of her favorite hobbies was collecting and making porcelain dolls.
A graveside service will be held at Claquato Cemetery located at 142 Stearns Road in Chehalis on September 25th, 2024, at 1pm.
