Earlina "Sal" Allen, 94, Longview, and former resident of Tenino, Wash., and Toledo, Wash., passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at LaFountaine Family Home in Longview, Wash. She was born March 31, 1918 in Lincoln Creek at the family home near Rochester, Wash., to Jalmer and Jesse (Ingalls) Kosola.
Her memberships included Winlock Rebekah Lodge #326 and Skookumchuck Grange. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, camping and sewing.
Earlina and Emmett (Eldon) Allen, were married Nov. 29, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emmett (Eldon) Allen, son-in-law, Robin Stover, and brother, Ossie Kosola.
She is survived by son, Bob (Barb) Allen, two sisters, Nell Bailey and Mary Ann James, daughter, Nancy Stover, three grandchildren, Harold (Brooksy) Allen, of Alaska, Eldon (Carmen) Allen, Longview, Wash., Carolyn (Tim) Wyatt, Longview, Wash., two step-grandchildren, Donna Young, and Tracy Young, both of Vancouver, Wash., six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Newell-Hoerling's Chapel, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Centralia at 1:00 p.m.
