Dorothy M. Allen, 93, of Centralia, Wash., passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2023. Dorothy was born in Centralia on March 18, 1929, to Marion and Lucy (Webster) Jackson. Dorothy grew up on her parents' farm in Centralia. She spent her days riding horses and helping her dad wrangle cows. After marrying Harold and living in Quinault for a while, Dorothy returned to the family farm where she spent the rest of her life caring for her family. Dorothy loved horses, hummingbirds, flowers and her family. She dearly loved all those babies. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed. We love you, Mom! Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Allen; sons, Stephen and Michael Allen; and grandsons, Quentin White and Robert Allen. She is survived by daughters, Laura (Tom) Skillings, Linda (Dave)Lyon and Lucy Mills; sons Harold (Trisha) Allen, David (Kathy) Allen and Terry (Gail) Allen; 21 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. Visitation will take place Friday, January 20th from11 AM to 12 PM at Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary, 205 W Pine Street, Centralia. The funeral will follow visitation at 12 PM, also at Newell- Hoerling's. Burial will take place afterward at 1 PM at Mountain View Cemetery, 1113 Caveness Drive, Centralia. A potluck reception will follow the graveside portion of our services at Borst Park Kitchen #2. We hope to see you there!
