Donald Rae 'Don' Penick, 87, of Onalaska, Washington, passed away at his home Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Don was born December 9, 1935, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Cecil and Geneva (Hendrickson) Penick, and married his sweetheart, Sharon McClanahan, February 19, 1983, in Onalaska, Washington. He was a member of the Washington Trucking Association and owned his own trucking company for several years. Don loved his family and his Yorkies. He enjoyed RVing; football; gardening; hunting; fishing; and riding motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil Penick in 1978; mother, Geneva Hadaller in 2004; and brother, Wilbur 'Dean' Penick, in 2014. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Vickie Cardenas, Yvette Smart; and LuAnn (Charlie) Brown; sister, LuAnn Lytton; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren. Don will be laid to rest at Klickitat Cemetery in Mossyrock, Washington, at 11 AM, Tuesday, February 28.
